Help Pass Senate Bill 1738—The PROTECT Our Children Act

Hundreds of thousands of children are victims of sexual abuse each year. Due to the sheer lack of resources, law enforcement is unable to follow up on the majority of leads they have.

The PROTECT Our Children Act will:

§          Authorize over $320 million over the next five years in desperately needed funding for law enforcement to investigate child exploitation.

§          Mandate that child rescue be a top priority for law enforcement receiving federal funding.

§          Allocate funds for high-tech computer software that can track down Internet predators.

Click here to find out more about this bill and how you can help.

 VMAC Family Nights

The Verona Municipal Alliance Committee is proud to schedule two nights each year (one in spring and one in fall) to be free of schedules.  As of 4PM on each Family Night, there will be no VCC programs, school athletics or town meetings.
Your Verona students will also have a night free of homework. It's a simple reminder of the importance of "family time."

Verona Cares / Safe Homes

Potential members are reached through the school-wide summer packets to pledge to supervise their children’s gatherings so that neither alcohol nor drugs are being used in their homes.

Yearly mailings provide guidelines for protecting our youth. If you would like a copy of the pledge, or if you would like to add your name to the list, please send an email to Joanne Arroyo
