Our Lady of the Lake Raises Funds for Families
The Our Lady of the Lake Family Mass Committee has collected
recipes from families & friends and compiled them into a recipe
book. The book contains recipes from families who have supplied us
with a delicious breakfast following each Family Mass. It is our
hope each parishioner will make a generous donation, and accept our
booklets as a gesture of appreciation.
We were inspired by the 20/20 episode which profiled American
families living in desperate conditions in Camden, NJ. We have
selected St. Bartholomew’s Parish, located directly in Camden to
facilitate the distribution of the donated funds.
Booklets will be available at the Family Masses on Sunday, June 3rd,
October 7th, November 4th, and December 2nd, 2007. Donations made in
any denomination are appreciated. The recipe books will be also be
available at the rectory.
Our Lady of the Lake Celebrates
First Family Mass of the Season

Our Lady of the Lake celebrated Family Mass on October 7, 2007.
The Family Mass Ministry, inspired by the 20/20 Episode which
chronicled the lives of several children in Camden, N.J., is
responding to the need of families living in desperate conditions.
Camden is one of the poorest and most dangerous cities in America.
The Family Mass Ministry, selected The Soul of Camden located in St.
Bartholomew’s Parish to sponsor, and supply needed help to the
children who attend the Soul of Camden, a program which provides a
safe environment for children after school. Marian Jones, the
Executive Director of the Soul of Camden, was invited to speak, and
meet with families of Our Lady of the Lake.
